Label Prep is a free tool that turns your label file into the transparent PNG Lite needs, plus the placement numbers Lite asks for. No account, no order required. It runs in your browser, and your file never leaves your computer.
What it does
Opens PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, Photoshop, PDF and Adobe Illustrator files.
Tells you what it found: paper around the label, die cut line, crop marks, a dark label, or a file that is too small.
Cuts away the paper, die cut line and crop marks in one press, with hand tools to refine the edge.
Erases something printed, like a vintage or a medal, and fills the gap.
Adds gold, silver, copper or custom foil, emboss, deboss and varnish accents.
Places the label on a Lite bottle and gives you the label height, width, distance from the bottom and rotation.
Exports a transparent PNG and a Lite settings PDF, so the next label in your range lands in the same place.
About finishes Foil, emboss, deboss and varnish accents look convincing on your website and retail listings. When the finish is the star of the label (deep or multi-level relief, foil over most of the label, textured or specialty paper), or the image has to match the printed bottle exactly, that's Outshinery Studio.
When the tool can't handle your file Some files are too tangled for the tool, usually a layered Adobe Illustrator or PDF file with every version, the dieline and the varnish stacked on top of each other.
Request free label prep and our team prepares it by hand and emails it back within 2 business days. The service cannot prepare a phone photo of a label or an Adobe Illustrator file that will not open.
